Art encourages fine motor skills, gross motor skills, brain development, problem-solving skills and enhances learning in other key subjects like reading, writing, math, and science.  Art allows children to process their world and to process emotions in a safe way.  Art is a critical form of expression that when stifled can have a disastrous impact.  95% of second graders report that they are “creative”. By 5th grade that number drastically drops to 50%.  Art is FUN and, when cultivated, provides children an outlet for all kinds of emotions, feelings, and situations.  Expressive is the place to Let it Go!

Ages 5-7, and 8-10 years old

Funny how art and play can go hand in hand. This art exploration for early elementary age students encourages the children to understand that art is what they want it to be not what others want you to make it. With the use of toys or play items, we provide discoveries into how colors work with each other and how lines create interest. Interaction with art mediums in this way increases confidence and creativity…not to mention a great time.
